This vehicle interface connects directly to the original BMW connectors and requires:

The installation is fully reversible and does not affect the functionality of the factory-installed BMW equipment.
Controls for the new accessory systems are done through the original BMW iDrive Controller, steering wheel buttons, and other original OEM multimedia controls.
When the vehicle goes into reverse, the accessory system will automatically switch and provide video from the original rear camera or activate the original parking sensors (if equipped). The system will revert back to the CarPlay/Android Auto interface when the vehicle has come to a stop and has been shifted back into drive.
