Compatibility & Installation

The video signal is transmitted via the supplied RCA cable to a compatible display, BMW CarPlay / CIC integration module, or supported aftermarket multimedia system.

Installation Overview
Remove the original boot handle from the vehicle.
Install the camera in place of the original boot handle.
Connect the camera power cable to the reversing light circuit (red = positive, black = negative).
Connect the camera video output to the RCA extension cable.
Connect the extension cable to the CarPlay integration module, camera control unit, or aftermarket navigation system.
Engage reverse gear to activate the camera image automatically.
⚠ Important: Some BMW models with CANBUS systems may experience voltage drop on the reverse light circuit. In such cases, the included camera relay ensures stable operation.
